Premier League Youth Development Conference

Movetru had the privilege of attending the Premier League Youth Development Conference at Old Trafford Stadium!

Alex Hill from the Centre of High Performance delivered an insightful session on the metrics that make companies successful. He shared fascinating examples, including the New Zealand Rugby team's success with ballet lessons. It was a powerful reminder that innovation and unconventional approaches can lead to remarkable achievements.

The evening dinner was a poignant and sobering moment as we commemorated the sixth anniversary of the Manchester bombing. Tony Walsh delivered an impactful poem that reminded everyone of the strength and resilience of the city. Additionally, we had the honor of hearing from the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson whose immense impact on football is undeniable.

Geoff Thompson BEM, Ph.D, MSc, BSc. of Youth Charter shared key actions to support young lives and prevent further loss. His expertise and dedication to empowering youth left a lasting impression on all of us. It was a call to action to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Naomi was particularly inspired by the work presented by Polly Bancroft and Richard Hawkins on their initiatives in Manchester United. Their dedication and passion for advancing women's football was truly remarkable. It was a privilege to learn from their experiences and insights.

The conference offered an outstanding lineup of speakers and created a platform for valuable connections. Movetru would like to extend a huge shout out to Women in Football for providing the opportunity to attend this invaluable event. The connections made and knowledge gained will undoubtedly shape mine and Movetru®’s future endeavours in the sports industry.
