October USA TRIP
Naomi spent the month of October on a busy, whirlwind trip to America where she gained some valuable connections and had the opportunity to go to amazing events!
Naomi began the trip by presenting at the Georgia Tech Pediatric Technologies Innovation Day and Showcase on September 29th. A special thanks to Leanne West and Metro Atlanta Chamber.
Following this, she had the opportunity to see laboratories across Georgia Tech where there is some really exciting ongoing research!
The final stop on the Atlanta trip was a facilities tour around the Emory Falcons Sports Performance And Research Center (SPARC)! Thank you Andrew S., Jake Slaton, and Sam for showing us around and all your feedback on Movetru®.
She then flew to NYC, where she had the opportunity to attend Irish Startup Week NYC hosted by Digital Irish at the Bank of Ireland. The event was filled with startups, entrepreneurs, and innovation and provided an insightful mix of inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, and networking opportunities. Shout out to Feargall Kenny and the Digital Irish team for an outstanding event!
After Atlanta, Philly, and NYC, Naomi then attended the HLTH conference in Las Vegas, a whirlwind of innovation and connections from sunrise to sunset. She proudly represented innovative healthtech companies from the UK. While in Vegas, she also attended the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) final!
The next stop was San Francisco! This was a journey filled with exploration - from touring Stanford University facilities to participating in a Plug and Play Tech Center event alongside fellow entrepreneurs. Special kudos to the British Consulate-General in San Francisco for organising impactful events, including a captivating full-female VC panel and insights from serial entrepreneurs that left me truly inspired.
